Off at the sound of the starter’s gun, more than (350) track and field stars have autographed the keepsakes in this comprehensive gathering. Highlights include autographs verified as “Authentic” by JSA. Among these are:

 

(5) Ralph Boston: all 5x3” index cards (signatures average “8-9” strength)

 

Glenn Cunningham: (d.1988) blank side of 5x3” index card personalized and signed in blue-ink steel tip fountain pen (“9-10” strength)

 

Dick Fosbury: 5x3” blank index card signed in black ink (“8” strength)

 

(2) Bruce Jenner: 5x3” blank index card with pre-Caitlyn blue marker signature (“9” strength); and a 1991 trading card signed in black marker (“8” strength)  

 

Jackie Joyner-Kersee: 5x3” blank index card signed in black marker (“8-9” strength with minor ink migration)

 

Carl Lewis: 4x6” Mizuno color photo card (with horizontal crease) signed in black marker (“8-9” strength)

 

(8) Bob Mathias: (d.2006) (7) 5x3” index cards (signatures average “8-9” strength) with (1) personalized and (3) featuring Olympic ring illustrations (in Mathias’ hand); and a signed 1983 trading card

 

Wilma Rudolph: (d.1994) June 8, 1988 Rae Burick Women in Sports Awards Dinner program signed on front cover in black ink (“8-9” strength with “Olympic Champion” inscription); piece is also signed by Lucinda Adams and Mae Faggs Starr (d.2000)

 

(2) Grete Waitz: (d.2011) 5x3” blank index card signed in blue ballpoint (“10” strength) with “Best wishes from” inscription; an signed and personalized 5-1/2 x 8-1/4” color photo card with career highlights on reverse  

 

Emil Zatopek: (d.2000) 5x3” blank index card signed in black marker (“9” strength)
