Felled with a dislocated shoulder on a 2003 opening day collision with Toronto backstop Ken Huckaby, Yankee star Derek Jeter landed on the disabled list and missed a career-long stretch of 36 games. As he performed in a May 8 rehab start for the Class AA Eastern League’s Trenton Thunder, the New Jersey native autographed this dugout lineup card. Measuring 8-3/4 x 15”, the thick stock placard features handwritten player names from the battle against the Binghamton Mets. Jeter, who hit .444 in five games for the Thunder, batted in the No. 2 slot that day and was replaced by Sam Bozanich after drilling a 5th-inning single. In the upper left corner, Jeter has signed the lineup card in blue marker (“9” strength). An MLB Authentication hologram accompanies for game use and autograph.
