Having produced big league greats such as Frank Howard, Tommy Davis and Dave McNally, the Class AA Texas League’s Victoria Rosebuds had a brief existence (1958-1961) as affiliates of the Dodgers, Tigers and Orioles. This three-quarter size vintage pennant is a rare artifact from that Lone Star bush league club. The powder blue felt gonfalon features a pink applique floral design with “VICTORIA” and “TEXAS LEAGUE” arched above and below, respectively. “Rosebuds” runs the length of the banner in pink cursive applique. The white spine and tassels remain intact on this well-maintained survivor!
