Description

As expansion began and the Yankees fell, these (5) baseballs were autographed by Major League installments of the mid-1960s. Includes:

 

1964 Chicago Cubs: a near-white ONL Giles ball (grade “7-8”) signed in black ballpoint (average “4-5” strength) by: Sweet Spot: Kennedy (manager); North Panel: Burke, McDaniel, Warner, Schaffer, Slaughter and Rodgers; South Panel: Amalfitano, Scott, Santo, L. Burdette, Gabrielson, Elston and Buhl; West Panel: Martin (coach), Cowan, Williams, Jackson and Klein (coach); East Panel: Brock, Stewart, Ellsworth, Walker (coach), Landrum, Schurr and Banks

 

1965 Houston Astros: a ONL Giles ball showing evidence of use signed in blue ballpoint (average “7” strength) by: North Panel: Staub, Dierker, Coombs, Nottebart, Giusti and Lillis; South Panel: Wynn, Sudol (umpire) and Gaines; West Panel: Gentile and Morgan; East Panel: Maye, Bond and Cuellar; Reverse Sweet Spot: Bruce
