Boxing buffs keep your guard up and don't get knocked out of the bidding for this collection of vintage Exhibits and postcards. This group of (32) boxing cards dates from 1920s-1950s and packs a lot of punch, with (8) Jack Dempsey cards and single examples of other ring masters from their heyday, including legendary champs Joe Louis, "Sugar Ray" Robinson and the "Raging Bull", Jake LaMotta. Generally the older cards from the 1920s weigh in respectably as average to above average, while the 1940s-1950s issues tip the scales into the better condition range. Featured are:

(8) Jack Dempsey cards: 1923 Exhibit with postcard back (GD); c.1924 Exhibit with postcard back (VG-EX); RPPC hand-dated "9/18/26" (GD+); (3) c.1927 Exhibit cards with scenes from the Dempsey vs Tunney "Long Count Fight" (all VG-EX); c.1940s Exhibit with street clothes portrait (VG-EX); postmarked 1956 Dempsey's Restaurant postcard with a scene from his 1919 bout vs Jess Willard, when Dempsey won the heavyweight championship

(3) 1920s Cards: "Young Jack" O'Brien PC (VG); (2) Exhibits: Matt Adgie (FR), Bennie Bass (GD)

(21) 1940s-1950s Exhibits average (EX to EX-MT) with a couple slightly lesser: Joe Louis, Ray Robinson, Jake LaMotta, Joe Walcott, Billy Conn, Willie Pep, Joey Maxim, Tony Zale, Rinty Monaghan, Bob Montgomery, Manuel Ortiz, Elmer Ray, Laverne Roach, Robert Villamain, Tommy Yarosz, Gene Burton, Ike Williams, Bernard Docusen, Billy Fox, Gus Lesnevich, Lippy Larkin
